So I'm going through some of my unfinished quests and I realize I'm supposed to go back to Kvatch to help them clear out the place after I helped Martin go to another location.
I decided to head back and do that quest and got my ass handed to me. I'm around level 25 now and I finally had to give up and reload a save from before going back there. I guess I have some serious skill leveling before I can clear that place out now.
Basically a word of warning on the Kvatch quest. It isn't done after you help Martin. You need to go back before you level up too far.

I lucked out and as soon as I finished Kvatch pt.1 I immediately Kvatch part 2. It was a piece of cake at that point in time. You have to do the second part for the main quest, so get it done early if possible.
No where else in the game have I found a place that really put the level crunch on you. I already completed the main quest and I only have 1/2 the Fighters guild to go before I complete every guild. And nothing compares to Kvatch.

Yup, the level crunch there is a huge pain in the patootie. When I rolled my wizard, that was the first quest I did, at level 1. It was cake at that time.
Tim, don't forget you can change the difficulty. It may help for you to slide it all the way down, just to get it done, then put it back up to default. I'm not sure how much it will help, as I haven't tried that section at a level higher than 7.

That's cheatin' in my book. I'm going to level up a while, go get my ass back and dish out some whoop ass.
BTW - No longer a vampire. Maybe I could of used those stat boosts. I need to raise my magic, speed and endurance so I don't get knocked down, then I'll be back.

Well, I suppose you could see it as such, and I normally would as well. However, the game is actually flawed in this case: the enemies in there will level up with you, but your companiions don't, so they'll all die in a hit or two. That makes it unbalanced, because you're supposed to be part of a larger force throughout that quest.
Let us know how it turns out!

I think there is a mod that lets your companions also level up with you

Yes overlooked problem on Bethesda's part to not level up friendly AI in the Kvatch quest. Nothing really tells you that it's something you should do as soon as possible, not even the Strat guide I don't think.
Obviously a minor, minor problem considering it's probably one of the 5 best games I've ever played, am not even half way through it, and God knows how many hours I've already played just screwing around leveling my alchemy and armorer skills and doing side quests.
Strange playing as a heavy armor wearing mage basically (Sorcerer pre-made class). I'm only at level 13-14 but I mop up everything with the conjuration and destruction skills alone....unless those damn Clanfears get into my body and start pounding me. ;)
