If you like this series, trust me, finish this game.

After The Longest Journey, it's probably THE best adventure game I've ever played. Very atmospheric, terrific puzzles, voice acting and graphics. And the story is phenomenal!

I'm glad to have finished it, and I'm looking very forward to seeing the further adventures of Kate Walker.

.

I also loved the original game and the demo for the sequel, so I went right out and bought a copy a few weeks ago at Gamestop. It's still sitting here unopened, waiting to be played though. But the minute I need a break from Morrowind GOTY, I plan to install and play Syberia 2. Can't wait to see how the rest of the story unfolds and agree that it is one of the very best character driven, pure PC adventures ever - along with TLJ, Grim Fandango, The Monkey Island Series and of course Jane Jensen's Gabriel Knight games.

Cheers, Terry

I can't even get past the first part of this game..........In one part where Kate is supposed to talk to the monk, the game crashes and goes to the desktop. Anyone have this problem? Anyone know how to correct this? HELP!!

Holy crap, do my eyes deceive me? Terry? Glad to see you're still around. It's been a while since we heard from you.
I've been thinking about installing this game as well. I've never really played an adventure game on the PC before, and I keep hearing really good things about the Syberia series, so I was thinking about giving this game a go.
Quick question for you Syberia fans out there. Do you need to play the first game to understand the sequel? Should I play the first game first, or is it Ok just to jump right into the Syberia II?

I'd play the first game first. Then you'll have a better understanding of the plot.

Man, a 14 month old post rises from the ashes...

And then gets more replies in the last few days than many of the newer topics. heh.

Creagan, it sounds like you might have a driver issue there. The game uses spoken dialogue, and if I remember correctly, that's the first time in game that you actually talk to people.

MAke sure you have the latest drivers for your video and sound cards, this may take of the problem for you. In the meantime, tell us some more about your system (OS, CPU, etc) as this may help, also.

The syberia series is probally my favorite adventure game to come out in the past few years.

To me, it has one of the most memorable stories and characters of any adventure game.

One of those gem's of a game that even 5, 10, and many years later you'll still remember it.

Fun game, but I always figured she froze to dead with no way back home. :D
